This year's New York Fashion Week was very different from last season. Last season many of the main shows were at Lincoln center and the event was sponsored by Mercedes Benz. This year,IMG the company that organized the main fashion week events lost Mercedes Benz as a sponsor and also lost access to use Lincoln Center. Instead they held their events at various locations such as Skylight Clarkson Square, Skylight Moynihan Station, Pier 59 Milk Studios and other venues. There were also other organizations that held other runway shows to rival IMG. One particular organization was StyleFW that held their events at Gotham Hall. Overall, there were many shows to attend but this season I decided to not try to go to every show and shoot runway with my heavy gear. This season. I opted to go to some shows, shoot with a the new Sony Mirrorless cameras and enjoy the experience. I was still able to cover the shows I attended but was less stressed out and enjoyed my overall experience.
