WPPI was a blast this year. Like every year, I attended a styled shoot setup by Cactus and Lace Weddings. Although I have heard about their styled shoot workshops before, this is the first time I actually attended their styled shoot. I am glad that I did. The shoot was awesome. It was setup at the Valley of Fire. The landscape of that area is breathtaking and even more so with actual people. Below are some samples from the styled wedding shoot of real life couple Karla and Ty.

The second largest comic con in the world, NYCC ended last week. Many people in the tri-state area as well as all over the worked geeked out and dressed up as their favorite comic book or pop culture character during the con. This is often referred to as cosplay and many people definitely came in their best cosplay. It was such a great time attending and seeing all the great cosplay throughout the con. I just love covering this event because of the whole positive atmosphere from everyone that attended. Taking photos of all the various creative cosplays out there helps fuel my creative giving me ideas and insights on future shoots.

This year's New York Fashion Week was very different from last season. Last season many of the main shows were at Lincoln center and the event was sponsored by Mercedes Benz. This year,IMG the company that organized the main fashion week events lost Mercedes Benz as a sponsor and also lost access to use Lincoln Center. Instead they held their events at various locations such as Skylight Clarkson Square, Skylight Moynihan Station, Pier 59 Milk Studios and other venues. There were also other organizations that held other runway shows to rival IMG. One particular organization was StyleFW that held their events at Gotham Hall. Overall, there were many shows to attend but this season I decided to not try to go to every show and shoot runway with my heavy gear. This season. I opted to go to some shows, shoot with a the new Sony Mirrorless cameras and enjoy the experience. I was still able to cover the shows I attended but was less stressed out and enjoyed my overall experience.
Here are some shots of the shows I covered
I even got to meet Christina Milan from the the Jay Godfrey presentation

This past July I went back to Miami for Miami Swimweek 2016. It was very different this time around since Mercedez Benz and IMG split earlier this year. This resulted in different shows from IMG and another organizer Funkshion. There were quite a few shows that were on at the same time so you had to pick an choose which one you wanted to go to. Although I didn't get to go to the same shows last year I was still able to attend good show during Swimweek. Here are some pics from the shows I attended. The designers from the shows below are Tori Praver, F*ck Swim, Frankie's Bikini's, Mia Marcelle, Amato and Sinesia Karol.
While I was in Miami I was also did a few private shoots with two beautiful women.
Recently. I worked on a bridal lookbook shoot for designer Irina Shabayeva the season 6 winner of Project Runway. Irina's designs are beautiful. She is a very talented designer and was happy to have the opportunity to work on a shoot featuring her line. Setting up the shoot itself was a lot of work, more work than I realize but in the end it all worked out. I recruited a great team of models, makeup, hair, video and photographers who all volunteered their time to make this an awesome shoot for me and Irina.
Here is the timelapse video of the entire bridal shoot for the Irina Shabayeva lookbook shoot.
Here are samples from the shoot featuring Irina's bridal line.
